Catering to a clientele of diplomats, royalty, celebrities and members of high society, Amouage LLC is a niche luxury fragrance house that manufactures and sells high-end perfumes, bath and leather products. The company has an expansive distribution channel,
selling its product line in 52 countries, 12 international shops as well as through its online store.

Because the company was using multiple IT systems that were not integrated with each other, it was experiencing some challenges in managing its business operations. For example, the firm was experiencing difficulty in extracting data such as inventory and financial
consolidation figures from its retail outlets - particularly those that were located in different countries.
“If I had to generate a report, I have to look at each of our outlet’s database, extract and collate the data that I need, and finally put it in an Excel sheet. Because this is done manually, it is a very time-consuming process,” says Sethu Gopalakrishna Pillai,
who works as an IT Manager. “Furthermore, we had challenges in developing appropriate sales strategies because we could not capture customer data in our legacy system. This lack of information prevented us from analyzing our client’s spending habits; thereby
setting up relevant sales campaigns more difficult,” he adds.
The company therefore, wanted a fully integrated system that would provide real-time visibility in its database, allowing management the ability to respond quickly to customer needs, provide better service and reduce duplication of work.

As a consequence, being able to collate and analyze their customer’s spending habits has given the company the ability to dovetail their sales strategies and plans in accordance with their client’s preferences, create more realistic sales forecasts, better
manage production schedules and inventory as well as give management more intuitive reporting tools.
