Adeneo Embedded Testing Services Help Validate and Certify a Medical Handheld
Medical devices have strict requirements for safety, performance and stability. Satisfying these criteria depends heavily on the operating system and core software components. All medical handhelds require in-depth testing and validation to achieve regulatory certification.
||Using Microsoft’s Windows Embedded Compact 7 testing framework allowed us to plan and execute a complete and focused system test for our customer’s diabetes management handheld in less than 6 months.
Adeneo Embedded provides extensive software development and testing services for Windows Embedded platforms.
Establishing a complete customized test plan for our customer’s medical device, a personal diabetes management handheld, was only the first step. Development of a board support package (BSP), detailed code reviews, and unit tests for different sets of critical BSP functions were also needed. These services helped the customer to rapidly identify and analyze system failures, facilitating bug fixes which, ultimately, enabled the customer to improve their system stability and quality.Benefits
Combining Microsoft technologies, such as Windows Embedded Compact Test Kit, C#, and Adeneo Embedded testing and validation tools helped Adeneo create targeted testing materials in less than two months making it possible to conduct rapid and comprehensive system analysis.
Developing custom tests using Microsoft’s Tux.Net technology enabled Adeneo engineers to easily automate full test suites in a clean and replicable fashion.
The Adeneo Embedded Test Metrics Tool also provided the team and the customer quick access to test results expediting a detailed analysis of system stability in a variety of test scenarios. This case study is for informational purposes only.
