Praveen is the Founder and Principal
Consultant of Asthra (www.asthra.net)
– a Technology Consulting company
that he founded in 2004. He has over
eleven years of experience in
delivering solutions on Microsoft
platforms.
A graduate from REC, Surathkal,
Praveen has worked for over 5 years
with iFlexSolutions and then moved
onto Aditi and Orbit-e Consulting
working with clients in Europe,
North America and East Asia. As part
of the MSDN Regional Director
Program since 2000, he has spoken at
a large number of MSDN sessions and
is a regular speaker at premier
Microsoft events like Tech.Ed,
DevDays, and the Software Architect
Forum where he has consistently got
top ratings. A speaker for INETA
(International .NET Association) and
PASS (Professional Association of
SQL Server), he is also part of the
Technical Advisory Board of HSBSoft.
At Asthra, Praveen is working at
consulting and delivering workshops
on the latest Beta products. Asthra
helped Microsoft ramp-up the BetaOne
support teams in India and China by
conducting workshops on SQL2005,
VS2005, VSTS, Vista and Office12.
These were in-depth sessions and
primarily focused on hands-on labs
aimed at ramping up the support
staff. Asthra has also been enrolled
to assist in the Migration Labs
efforts for SQL Server 2005 and for
Vista. In India, Asthra is currently
engaged in consulting with select
partners to migrate their
applications onto the new technology
platforms.
Sanjay
Shetty
Sanjay Shetty is the CEO of Wireless
Strategist & Consultants (I) Pvt. Ltd.
which consults companies on building
mobile and .Net solutions. He is the
Microsoft Regional Director for Mumbai
India(9 years now), locally known as
Lord Mobility in the Microsoft India dev
community. He’s also the International
.Net Association’s, Regional Manager for
the Asia Pacific region and the
Executive Director for Culminis in Asia
Pacific. He has written many articles on
.Net and Mobility at Devx, .Net
Developer’s Journal, Mobilized Software.
He’s been a regular speaker for the past
9 years at various Microsoft conferences
such as DevDays, PDC, TechEd and other
3rd party events. He has spoken
internationally at events like VSLive
and Microsoft Mobile Developer
conference.
T.N.C.Venkata Rangan
Venkatarangan TNC is the Chairman and
Managing Director of Vishwak Solutions
which provides Application Development
and Maintenance Services globally.
Venkat is an engineering graduate from
University of Madras.
Venkat believes in giving back to the
community what he has received. Helping
him to achieve is his position as
Microsoft Regional Director, Chennai
continuously from the year 1999. In his
capacity as RD he speaks in various
Microsoft Premium events across the
country. He is a member in the board of
studies for Computer Science Department,
Govt. of Pondicherry - Bharathidasan
Government College for Women.Venkat is
also Passionate about Tamil language
development using Unicode & providing
Indian language support. He formalizes
the activity by being in the Executive
Council of International Forum for
Information Technology in Tamil (INFITT)
and by being the architect of
Microsoft’s Bhashaindia.com Portal.
Vinod
Unny
Vinod Unny is the Managing Director of
Enterprise InfoTech, a technology
consultancy company based in New Delhi,
India. Vinod has also been appointed as
the Microsoft Regional Director for the
entire North India Region.
Vinod has been an extremely active
member of India’s Information Technology
community for many years. He is a
regular contributor to India’s leading
computer magazine, PCQuest, on many
areas of technology. He has lead both
technical and techno-business teams in
the United States, Japan and of course
in India. Vinod has traveled widely and
regularly, both in India and around the
world for projects and events.
Vinod has also been an active and
popular speaker in many different
technology seminars across the country
and has been invited by organizations
such as Borland, Microsoft, Caldera,
Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)
and many management and technical
institutes and organizations to speak at
many of their events.
Being a Microsoft Regional Director has
not restricted Vinod’s area of
expertise. Although very well versed in
Microsoft technologies, Vinod has also
worked on many other technologies
including competitive ones. Vinod works
regularly on Linux and Open Source
Software as well – and in doing so gains
a much larger appreciation for the work
done by Microsoft. He passes on this
knowledge and appreciation regarding
Microsoft technologies in comparison to
Linux/OSS to audiences, clients and
readers in his various evangelism
efforts.
Having started working with computers at
a very young age when computers were not
publicly around to programming for the
Internet much before it was commercially
available in India, Vinod has tried to
keep himself one step ahead of the
learning curve to be able to give his
clients the best informed and most
effective solution that is technically
possible.
