Microsoft AER Program: User Definitions and Guidelines
Microsoft’s Authorized Education Reseller (AER) Program aims
to identify resellers who understand the education market and
provide quality service to education customers. The program
will be based on the services and applications provided by resellers
that license, build, deploy and manage Microsoft technology.
The program will also feature benefits that provide resellers
with new types of support and resources to help build solutions
for education around Microsoft’s Windows 2000 Servers and other
Microsoft technologies.
The Microsoft AER program allows you to become authorized to
sell Microsoft Academic Edition products to qualified higher
education institutions. You also have the opportunity to offer
Microsoft Open Licenses for volume purchases to qualified educational
institutions. It simplifies the reseller's engagement with Microsoft
and brings resellers and educational institutions together.
Customers will be able to identify educational resellers who
have experience in delivering educational solutions. By partnering
with Authorized Education Resellers, education customers can
accelerate their teaching innovation and mitigate risk with
their organisation's technology.
