MSIDC, which is Microsoft's largest product development center outside the headquarters in Redmond, is recognized as an industry leader with teams working on the frontiers of innovation and incubating technologies and products which impact millions of Microsoft customers worldwide.

MSIDC has developed and released many core products and technologies to the global market since its inception in 1998. Our teams have end-to-end responsibility for every product, feature or technology they develop. They own the strategy, gather customer requirements from across the world, create multi-version release plans, architect, design, test and release the product to the market. On all other Microsoft products we work collaboratively with our counterparts in Redmond.

MSIDC is a key part of Microsoft's future strategic direction. Srini joined Microsoft in February 1989. Throughout his career in the company he has been involved in many V1 initiatives. Srini was instrumental in setting up the Microsoft India Development Center (MSIDC) which is Microsoft’s largest product development center outside the US. Under Srini’s leadership, Microsoft intends to continue to increase its R&D investments to successfully tap into India’s talent and market opportunities. In Srini's own words: "It's been an incredible experience so far, building a team of 1400 plus very smart people developing core Microsoft technologies and products. It's been possible only because of the great talent, experience and leadership of the many key people who have joined me in creating this organization.".
