Bibek Debroy, a professional economist, began his career as an academician. He taught at his alma mater, the Presidency College, and later at the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (Pune), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (Delhi), National Council of Applied Economic Research (Delhi) and was also the Director of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute for Contemporary Studies, Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, New Delhi.
Mr. Debroy was Consultant to the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India. He served as the Secretary General of PHDCCI. He has also worked as Director for the project "LARGE" (Legal Adjustments and Reforms for Globalising the Economy), set up by the Finance Ministry and UNDP for examining legal reforms in the country.
Mr. Debroy has also authored several books, papers and popular articles, and continues to be the Consulting Editor of some of the most prominent financial newspapers in the country. He is presently a member of the National Manufacturing Competitive Council.
Former Governor, Reserve Bank of India
Dr. Bimal Jalan, one of India’s well known economists, was the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India from 1997 to 2003.
Before taking over as Governor of the Reserve Bank, Dr.Jalan held several high level positions in India and abroad. In India, he has served as Chief Economic Adviser to the Government, Banking Secretary, Finance Secretary, Member-Secretary of the Planning Commission and Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister. He represented India as Executive Director on Boards of International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington D.C. during 1988-89 and 1993-96 respectively. Earlier, he was the Director (Economic Affairs) of Commonwealth Secretariat in London.
In August 2003, he was nominated to the Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of India's Parliament, by the President for distinguished service to the country

Taco Bell Professor of Information Systems Director, Center for Research on IT and Organizations (CRITO) University of California
Prof.Vijay Gurbaxani is the Taco Bell Endowed Professor of Business and Computer Science and Director of the Center for Research on IT and Organizations (CRITO) at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine. His research, teaching and consulting interests are at the nexus of business strategy and information technology (IT).
He focuses on analyzing how emerging information technologies enable business model innovation; on developing and evaluating business-driven strategies for the sourcing of information services; and on valuing IT investment. His approach is distinctive in its use of economic principles as the lens with which to analyze strategic management questions.
Prof.Vijay Gurbaxani has extensive experience in management education and advisory services, having lectured worldwide on management issues, taught extensively in degree and executive education programs, and consulted for and provided research expertise to many organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, technology service providers, and leading consulting firms. He has been a visiting scholar at the business schools at Stanford University and at MIT. In 1994-95, he was a Research Fellow at Computer Sciences Corporation, where he reported to the President of the Technology Management Group.
Prof.Vijay Gurbaxani has an active research program supported by funds from the National Science Foundation and from industry, having raised over $5M during his career. He authored the book, “Managing Information Systems Costs,” and has published numerous articles in premier journals in his areas of specialization including Information Systems Research, Management Science, MIS Quarterly and Sloan Management Review. His expertise in outsourcing was recognized when he won the 2002 Outsourcing World Achievement Award in the Academic category by PricewaterhouseCoopers and Michael Corbett and Associates at the fourth annual Outsourcing World Summit Conference & Exposition.
Chairman of India's National Knowledge Commission
Sam Pitroda is the chairman of India's National Knowledge Commission reporting to the Prime Minister, with a mandate to offer a series of recommendations to the government on access, concepts, creation, application and services related to knowledge to help build excellence in the education system to meet the challenges of the 21st century and increase India's competitive advantage.
Pitroda is an internationally respected development thinker, telecom inventor and entrepreneur who has spent 40 years in Information and Communications Technology and related human and national developments. His experiences include private and public sectors and governments around the world.
Credited with having laid the foundation for and ushered India's technology and telecommunications revolution in the 1980s, Sam Pitroda has been a leading campaigner to help bridge the digital divide. During his tenure as Advisor to Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in the 1980s, Sam Pitroda headed six technology missions related to telecommunications, water, literacy, immunization, dairy and oil seeds. He was also the founder and first chairman of India's Telecom Commission.
He owns close to a 100 patents and is widely regarded as one of the earliest pioneers of handheld computing because of his invention of the Electronic Diary in 1975. He was also among the pioneers in digital telephone switching technology in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The decade of 1990 saw Sam Pitroda explore the world of mobile phone based transaction technology and telecom developments in the emerging markets.
Eli Broad Professor of Information Technology, Michigan State University
Prof. V. Sambamurthy (Ph.D., University of Minnesota, 1989) is the Eli Broad Professor of Information Technology at the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. He served as the Executive Director for the Center for Leadership of the Digital Enterprise between 2004-09. He has previously served on the faculties of the business schools at The University of Maryland and The Florida State University. He has expertise in how firms leverage information technologies in their business strategies, products, services, and organizational processes.
In December 2009, he was selected as Fellow of the Association of Information Systems, for his scholarly work and contributions to the advancement of the information systems community.
Prof. V. Sambamurthy teaches courses related to the alignment of information technology and corporate strategy. He has worked as a researcher/consultant with several Fortune 500 firms including AstraZeneca, 3M, General Dynamics, Owens Corning, Intel, Bell Atlantic, Freddie Mac, and BellSouth.
His recently co-authored book, titled 'Winning the Three Legged Race: When Business and Technology Run Together' advocates the necessity for firms to integrate their business and information technology management processes. Prof. V. Sambamurthy has been published in journals such as the MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Decision Sciences, Management Science, Organization Science, and the IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. Currently, he is the editor-in-chief of Information Systems Research, one of the top journals for scholarly research on information systems.

Social activist, retired Indian Police Service officer
Dr. Kiran Bedi is India’s first and highest ranking (retired in 2007) woman officer who joined the Indian Police Service in 1972. Her experience and expertise include more than 35 years of tough, innovative and welfare policing.

Parambir Singh Kathait has been teaching since 1999. A trained Microsoft Shiksha teacher, he has not limited himself to digitising content but has also worked towards coaching his peers on ICT. Her career path has taken her from Drilling Fluid engineering to senior HR management and she is now responsible for ONGC’s capability development activities throughout India. Mrs Peters started her career as a Graduate Trainee in 1976 at ONGC and now has more than 25 years of experience in Petroleum Industry. Dr. J. K. Suresh heads knowledge management for the Infosys group of companies headquartered at Bangalore, India. As the principal knowledge manager for Infosys, he has been instrumental in spearheading effective KM practices across the organization that have elicited global acclaim in recent years. Over the last decade, he has been an advisor for academe and industry, in the public and private sectors in India and abroad, in the area of KM. As the Co-Founder of HPS, Ratnesh was instrumental in the set up of the company's first power plant and leads the 275+ and growing team across all the power plants. Former Indian cricketer and Captain of the 1983 Cricket World Cup winning Indian team
Kapil Dev Ramlal Nikhanj better known as Kapil Dev, is a former Indian cricketer regarded as one of the greatest all-rounders to have played cricket. Kapil Dev was named by Wisden as the Indian Cricketer of the Century in 2002 for captaining India to their maiden and only Cricket World Cup in 1983 and holding the record for the most Test match wickets between 1994 and 1999. He is the only man in the entire history of Test cricket to have reached the exemplary heights of 5000 runs and 400 wickets. In addition to all these accolades, He was also India’s national cricket coach between October 1999 and August 2000.
He was a right-arm pace bowler noted for his graceful action and potent out swinger, and was India’s main strike bowler throughout most of his career. He had also developed a fine in swinging yorker during the 1980s which he used very effectively against tail-enders. As a batsman, he was a natural striker of the ball who could hook and drive effectively. He often helped India in difficult situations by taking the attack to the opposition.
Kapil Dev was unique because of his uncomplicated approach to the game whether batting, bowling, fielding or captaining. He blended this technique and style with immense determination, pride and courage which made him a hero in the minds and hearts of all the Indian cricket fans and also the first true superstar of Indian cricket.
