Distributor Fulfillment Agreements for Open License Program to End in Some Countries/Regions.

As of July 11, 2008, Microsoft ended the Distributor Fulfillment Agreements for Open License customers in Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Svalbard and Jan Mayen Island, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Vatican City.

To obtain media directly and easily, use Microsoft eOpen, an online tool for Open License customers. Most products are available for download from this Web site. If a product is not available, you can find information there about how to order media directly from Microsoft.

Go to the Microsoft eOpen Web site

Note: Open Value customers are not affected by this process change. In addition, some countries/regions, because of challenges with Internet or broadband access, will continue to receive open media through distributors. Microsoft will look at each of these countries/regions on an individual basis before removing their open media fulfillment through distributors.

For more information, contact your Microsoft Partner or Regional Operation Center.

How to Get Updates for Microsoft Products

You can get updates for Microsoft products, including those products not included in quarterly kits, in the following ways:

  • By Download: To download products from the Microsoft Volume Licensing Services (MVLS) Web site, sign in to MVLS, and then click Product Downloads.

Important: To access MVLS, you must be a registered user on the site and have access to the agreement data. If you need assistance accessing the site, contact the MVLS Support Center or a Microsoft reseller. Phone numbers and e-mail addresses for MVLS Support are available through the Support/Feedback link in the left navigation bar of the MVLS home page.

  • As Software Product Disk Kits: You can purchase disk kits (CDs or DVDs) from your Microsoft reseller for products that are not included in your product subscription kits.
