What are the
criteria for membership to the MSDN Architect Program
program?
You can become a member of MSDN Architect Program if
you are a Software Architect and your profile and responsibilities
match the content delivered through the program. Relevant
experience in the area of software development is also
a pre-requisite.
I
am a developer. Am I eligible for the MSDN Architect
Program?
Generally, no. You would find this program relevant
only if your responsibility and role is that of a Software
Architect. This is because the content delivered under
MSDN Architect Program will be only from an Architectural
perspective. It will not cover hands-on development
and will not be helpful to a developer.
Can
I nominate my colleague for the MSDN Architect Program?
Yes, if you are a Technology/Organization head. Otherwise
no. That's because membership for MSDN Architect Program
has to involve an organizational initiative and not
just an individuals. Please ask your Technology/Organization
head to nominate your colleague.
I
have applied for the program. Can I start using the
secure site immediately?
Not yet. Application for the program does not ensure
membership. Within 10 days of applying, you will receive
a confirmation email/letter on your acceptance into
the program. On receipt of the confirmation, you can
login using your access code.
I
want to attend a MSDN Architect Program event but I
am not a member of MSDN Architect Program. Is this possible?
No. The MSDN Architect Program events are only for members.
The reason why non-members are not invited is because
of the nature of content that is delivered under this
program. It has to be relevant to the attendee.
How many people from an
organization can become members of MSDN Architect Program?
Any number of persons from an organization can become
MSDN Architect Program members. But all nominees must
be Software Architects and fit the profile requirements
of MSDN Architect Program.
My
application for MSDN Architect Program membership was
turned down. Can I apply again at a later date?
Yes, you may apply at a later date. If your application
was turned down it was because of your profile not matching
the criteria for MSDN Architect Program. You may apply
after a suitable time frame, when you feel you fit the
profile requirements.
