Server 2005: SQL-CLR and T-SQL Enhancements for DB Developers

SQL Server 2005 provides great opportunities for the developer
to harness the power of the database server in completely new
ways. In this session, we look at the some of the most important
features of SQL Server 2005 from a developer's perspective.
We begin by looking at some of the enhancements made in T-SQL
and how they impact the way we write SQL queries. We follow
this by exploring the new XML datatype and the way to query
against XML. We then explore the native support in SQL Server
for Web Services and how it should be used. Lastly, We discuss
SQLCLR - the ability to host CLR in the database which allows
you to work with CLR types and functions right out of SQL Server!
The session has very few slides and we will spend most of our
time writing code. If you are a developer working on SQL Server
