Priceline.com engaged the Indian software firm, HCL
Technologies. HCL boasts of global achievements in all
areas of development, production, and support. HCL re-engineered
Priceline.com's engine so as to make it modular, and
XML compliant. They developed a B2B interface for banks,
Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and vendors. They
customized the CRM application for each region. They
architected and developed a multi-vendor, multi-currency,
modular Payment Interface to facilitate online Credit
Card transactions.
Clearly, the user-focused interface with a secure,
and reliable back-end has given Priceline.com a significant
edge vis-à-vis other competitive portals. |
