Overview

Make Microsoft Office the primary User Experience for "everyday" SAP process and data and make Duet the leading Business Application on the Office platform.

Duet enables the SAP business data and processes to get surfaced from within Microsoft Office, thereby enabling the Information Worker to remain within the confines of his daily collaborative and productivity usage of Microsoft Office. It makes complying with the business processes and viewing the business data a seamless activity and part of the user’s daily usage of the various Microsoft Office applications. That is the power of Duet.

Duet is a joint product between Microsoft and SAP. Besides the technical complexity of delivering on the vision of the product, the two teams work together across geographical boundaries, overcoming the differences in the software methodologies followed by the two companies, and delivering a product that has revolutionized the way Information Workers interact with Enterprise Applications.

"Duet offered a potential panacea to our problems. It just made life simple and easy"—says the Auckland Regional Council, explaining the value that Duet can bring to an enterprise customer.

The team at MSIDC is working on Duet platform since 2005. The team is responsible for complete product development across its multiple versions. We have a groundbreaking collaboration with SAP that is set to revolutionize how Information Workers interact with Enterprise Applications.
