Overview

Jump Ahead of the Competition with Microsoft Learning

At Microsoft, we believe that our job is not complete just by releasing cutting edge solutions that help customers realize their true potential. We go that extra yard to make sure that we empower them with the necessary knowledge and skills that will help in a seamless adoption of our products. It is this endeavor that helps us develop highly effective and innovative learning solutions and certification products.

The Microsoft Learning team at MSIDC is responsible for the design and development of these innovative learning solutions and certification products. These products include Microsoft Official Instructor Led Training (ILT), self-paced E-learning courses, and rich-media Snacks targeting short knowledge snippets, and MODL (Microsoft Official Distance Learning). The team ensures that in all our learning products the same quality is maintained for which Microsoft is renowned for. These learning solutions products cater to a wide set of audience base including students, information workers, IT professionals, and developers and helps them in preparing for certification or for gaining new knowledge and skills for their jobs. The team is also involved with designing and developing the Digital Literacy learning products where the goal is to teach and assess basic computer concepts and skills so that people can use computer technology in everyday life to develop new social and economic opportunities for themselves, their families, and their communities.

The MSIDC team, which was set up in early 2006, comprises of Project Managers who spearhead the projects, Content Development Managers who have a hawk’s eye over the instructional quality, Technologists who ensure technical accuracy, and International Curriculum Managers responsible for planning for courses and regional integration of our business including the partner and community connects.

The relevance of the MCT community who are our key partners in evangelizing and delivering our learning products ensures that we have a regular and strategic connect with them. Recently we hosted the first MCT Summit in India at Hyderabad. Three Days and three tracks of intense Trainer readiness saw 178 participants from 58 organizations and 8 countries interact with 23 technology and training experts. Some collaboration avenues we presented were the MCT Technical Reviewer model, providing feedback through MTM and newsgroups, and the Courseware Library author model.
