Employee volunteerism is central to Microsoft's philanthropic activities. Microsoft employees exemplify Microsoft's giving. Through the Employee Giving Program, employees make personal financial contributions, volunteer their time, and donate other resources such as their knowledge and expertise towards the betterment of communities around them. Microsoft perseveres to reach out to the socially underprivileged, unemployed and disadvantaged through these Employee Giving and Volunteering Programs. The constant endeavour remains to empower these sections of society with the knowledge of learning and a window of opportunities.
For instance, our employees work with a large group of NGOs targeting children from the deprived sections of society. Supporting the cause of educating children, we work with NGOs such as Parikrama, Sankalp, Salaam Baalak Trust, Vidya Poshak and many others to work towards ushering in new hope for many.
