The IT Security Leaders Awards have been divided into four phases. The synopsis of each of the phase is as follows:
Phase I

After completing the registration process, eligible participants may commence filling up the Phase I questionnaire online |

Phase I will be objective in nature and will aim to gather overall information regarding the company's security strategy |

During this phase, participants will also be required to choose the categories for which they wish to nominate themselves for this phase. Participants may nominate themselves for more than one category |
| • |
Judges will evaluate all eligible questionnaires based on set criteria and scoring mechanism, based on which appropriate scores will be awarded to each participant |

Based on these scores, decisions will be made as to which participants will progress to the next phase |
| • |
All participants progressing to the next phase will be notified by email/phone |

Phase II
| • |
Participants achieving successful scores will be eligible to move up to Phase II. Based on results of Phase I, participants may be selected to participate for all or some of the nominated award categories |

In this phase, participants will be required to fill up
category-specific objective questionnaires. This phase will assess the maturity with respect to the chosen categories |

Judges will evaluate all eligible questionnaires based on set criteria and scoring mechanism, based on which appropriate scores will be awarded for each participant |

Participants achieving cut off scores will be notified by email/ phone |

Phase III
| • |
In this phase, participants will be required to fill up category-specific questionnaires which will be both objective and subjective in nature. Participants will be required to describe in detail their security strategies and roadmap. Participants will not be required to provide any sensitive information in any of the responses |

The subjective questions will be evaluated by a panel of judges. Finalists entering the last round will be selected based on this evaluation |

Phase IV

Phase IV will involve a detailed case presentation and discussions with the awards jury. The jury will consist of eminent personalities drawn from the industry and academia |

Based on the presentation and the scores from previous phases, a final ranking will be awarded to each finalist |

Winners will be
declared at awards night, to be held in the
mid-May, 2008. |
