- This campaign is about unlocking the talent of students in India, like you. Just build and submit one or more apps on AppHub. If they get certified and published on the Windows Phone Marketplace during the program period, you can claim goodies like a brand new Windows Phone, t-shirts and certificate of acknowledgement from Microsoft.

- How will I benefit from this program?
- If you submit 1 Windows Phone app that gets listed on the Marketplace
within the program period, then you receive a certificate of acknowledgement from
Microsoft, a Windows Phone t-shirt and a 2GB USB flash drive.
If you submit 4 new Windows Phone apps that get listed on the Marketplace within the program period, then you receive a Windows Phone test device (model and manufacturer decided by Microsoft) in addition to above mentioned goodies.

- What is the Windows Phone Marketplace?
- Once you’ve developed your app or game, Windows Phone Marketplace is where you can sell or give away your creation for free to the global audience of Windows Phone owners.
- What is AppHub?
- AppHub is a vibrant community of apps and game developers for Windows Phone and Xbox LIVE Indie Games on Xbox 360. As part of AppHub membership, you get a developer dashboard. So you can manage all aspects of how your app or game appears in Marketplace, monitor downloads, and track how much money you’ve earned if you charge for your work.
- What happens after I submit my app on AppHub? How long does the certification process
take?
- After an app is submitted on AppHub, it will be tested to verify
whether it adheres to the certification guidelines. If it passes certification testing,
then it will be published to the Windows Phone Marketplace.
The duration of the certification process is variable, but it usually takes around one to four weeks.

- What is DreamSpark?
- DreamSpark provides professional-level developer and design tools to students at no charge. These Microsoft tools will help you advance your learning and skills through technical design, technology, math, science, and engineering activities.
- Why do I need a verified DreamSpark account to participate in this program?
- A verified DreamSpark account enables students to apply for free membership of AppHub.
- What should I do if I am an eligible student but don’t have DreamSpark access?
- Register before 11th January 2012 and provide a faculty/admin contact from your college to facilitate issue of DreamSpark verification keys through your college.
- How should I submit my claim?
- Fill up the Claim Goodies form before 26th January 2012.
- Will I get multiple goodies for multiple apps published to Marketplace during the
Program period?
- A Participant can claim each type of goodies (i.e. for 1 app and for 4 apps) only once per type. Also note that these Windows Phone applications must be distinct and should have non-trivial utility value for the application user. In case the submitted applications are found to be “Spam” or close replicas of existing applications, these will not qualify for the Program.
- If I encounter issues while registering on AppHub or while submitting my Windows
Phone application on AppHub, whom should I contact?
- For issues encountered on the AppHub website, please write to apphub@microsoft.com and specify that you are a Student from India.
- How will I know if my app qualifies?
- For students who submit Claims with 4 valid apps by 18th Dec 2011, results will be announced by January 2012. For students who submit Claims (either with 1 valid app or with 4 valid apps) by 26th Jan 2012, results will be announced by Feb 2012.
