Get ready to gear up for the future of developer tools!

This track will show you the power of Atlas, Microsoft's AJAX implementation and developer environment, help you understand the internals of CLR 2.0 hosting model and how you can build more performant applications using it and finally, explore how ASP.NET 2.0 can be extended to suit your requirements.

We will also see the power BizTalk Server 2006 brings to the table for developers and how the languages of future (C# 3.0, VB 9.0 for example) will support integrated query mechanisms. We will also explore how VSTS will increase your productivity in application design.

WinFX

Experience the future of Windows based development using WinFX - the developer platform for the future! WinFX is the next generation platform for building applications, which will be based out of Windows Vista and Windows XP SP2 and Windows Server 2003.

This track will demonstrate how to use Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) to build rich UI applications based upon vector graphics, how Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) implements the principle of Service Orientation (SO) and WS-* interoperable standards to make enterprise applications have context flows (eg. Transactions) across platform boundaries and how Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF) can be used to embed workflows within your applications. We will also see how WinFS, the rich metadata driven file system built over NTFS, can be used by your applications for data storage.

MED

The Mobile & Embedded Track sessions will focus on developing mobile applications in Visual Studio 2005 for Windows Mobile 5.0 (including MSFP) using both managed and native code, as well as delivering a comprehensive training on the latest versions of Windows CE (Yamazaki), Multimedia Integration for Windows CE (Tomatin) and the SPOT platform. Breakout sessions will cover in technical detail: reliability, real time, source access, security, migration, multi-platform development for users of the Windows Embedded platform. Mobility-focused sessions will be geared to help you build Windows Mobile applications better, running on more devices, with greater stability and longer battery life. Other topics will include memory and code management. This is also your opportunity to learn from, network with, and be inspired by the experts in Windows Mobile and Embedded from the broad technology community.
