Microsoft Language Interface Pack

Program provides more people around the world with access to Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office in their own language

**
**

The Language Interface Packs (LIPS) are designed for regional markets that currently do not have local versions of Microsoft Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 Standard Edition, Microsoft Windows XP, and Microsoft Office 2003 Standard Edition. The packs provides computer users with the ability to display many commonly used features in their native language.

Language Interface Packs are created by local Microsoft offices in collaboration with government leaders.

Each new Language Interface Pack is built using the glossary created by the Community Glossary Project in cooperation with the local government, academia, and local linguistic experts.

When complete, the new Language Interface Pack is available as a free download from the Microsoft Download Center. It can be easily installed on a licensed copy of Microsoft Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 Standard Edition, Microsoft Windows XP, and Microsoft Office 2003 Standard Edition.

The Language Interface Pack may also be distributed on behalf of Microsoft by participating third parties such as governments, local language authorities, and universities.

To suggest a new Language Interface Pack, please contact your local Microsoft office or a local government language or cultural authority.
