What are my options?
  • Upgrade - For Windows Vista there are two upgrade options: either deploy the latest Service Pack, Service Pack 2, or a more recent supported version of the Operating System, Windows 7. This is an ideal opportunity to take advantage of the new features of Windows 7 for productivity anywhere, managing risk with enhanced security, and reducing costs by streamlining PC management. Extended support for Windows 7 will be available until January 14, 2020.
  • Purchase a custom support agreement to remain on the end of life products - If for any reason you decide to remain with Windows Vista Service Pack 1, you can purchase a custom support agreement from Microsoft. As a condition of buying a custom support agreement, we encourage our customers to put in place a plan to migrate off the unsupported platform. The costs of custom support agreements are significantly higher than regular support, and rise yearly as the number of customers remaining on the end-of-life platform decreases.
