Open License Program for companies with fewer than 250 computers

The Open License Program flexibility and low entry requirements make it a great program for healthcare and life sciences organizations with fewer than 250 computers. Designed to serve companies with as few as five desktops, the Open License Program offers three variations to meet an organization's needs:

Open License Business For organizations that want to simplify their procurement by making a one-time upfront purchase, with discounts for larger orders.

Open License Value For organizations that want the advantages of Software Assurance and the ability to spread payments annually.

Open License Volume Each product offering (that is, License, Software Assurance, and License and Software Assurance) is assigned specific point values to determine price levels. This offering provides additional potential savings compared with the other Open License Program offerings.

Open License Program offerings are available through a broad reseller channel base such as retail stores, solution providers, and online vendors.

Enterprise License Program for companies with 250 or more computers

The Enterprise License Program offers three options for large healthcare and life sciences organizations seeking flexibility, value, and long-term support:

Select License For organizations with mixed software and acquisition requirements. Select License customers receive a volume price level for each pool of software selected (that is, applications, systems, or servers) based on a three-year software forecast. Software licenses are purchased, and the customer can continue to use the software at the end of the agreement period.

Enterprise Agreement A license purchase program designed for organizations that want to standardize the Microsoft software throughout the company. At the end of the three-year Enterprise Agreement, customers can continue to use the software they have purchased. They can also choose to renew their enrollment to continue to receive additional benefits, including receiving any later versions of the software that become available during the renewal term.

Enterprise Subscription Agreement A subscription variation on the Enterprise Agreement. At the end of the subscription, the rights to use the software end. To continue using the software, customers must either remove the software from their computers or renew their Enterprise Subscription enrollment.

These programs are offered through Microsoft Large Account Resellers (LAR) and Microsoft Enterprise Software Advisors (ESA).
