Microsoft Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Innovation Award 2008

General Criteria

Any life sciences company that is a research-based pharmaceutical, bio-pharmaceutical, and medical device worldwide is eligible to participate in the contest. However, companies of the following countries are ineligible to participate: Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan and Syria.

The technology used must be innovatively applied technology to increase the effectiveness of life science research, the efficiency of Clinical Development or operational efficiency to improve patient’s quality of life by bringing safer and efficacious pharmaceuticals to the market faster.

The solution (or combination of solutions) must be based on Microsoft technologies, such as Microsoft BizTalk Server, Tablet PC, Microsoft SQL Server, or Office System.

All entries must be completed by May 19, 2008, at 5:00 PM Pacific Time.

Each entry must be written in English. The software or solution can be localized to a non-English language; however, the entry form must be submitted in English.

All answers must be complete. If a question cannot be answered or is not relevant to the application, entrants should write N/A.

Once your final entry is e-mailed in to lsia@microsoft.com, a completed Participant Release Form (last page) must be faxed to 425-645-2020 with appropriate signatures.

If an entrant is selected as a winner:

The winner will be notified by May 26th, 2008.

The entrant should be prepared to provide additional materials required for editorial or promotional purposes. Additional materials may include, but are not limited to, photographs of the company's representative and the other team members. Additionally, the winner should be available to participate in media interviews.

Ineligible Entrants

The following individuals are not eligible to enter the Microsoft Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Innovation Award:

Employees of Microsoft and Tradeshow Consulting Services

Judges (and their affiliates) of this award.
