Microsoft Global Automotive Summit: Bill Gates unveils the Microsoft vision for the auto industry
Bill Gates gave senior automotive industry executives a first-hand look at the Microsoft vision for their industry at the Microsoft Global Automotive Summit on April 29 in Dearborn, Mich. The vision, entitled the Peak Performance Initiative, is designed to give the people in the automotive community advanced analysis services, enhanced collaboration solutions, and improved performance by increasing visibility into operations across the manufacturing value chain.
By taking advantage of Web services to connect key systems, customers, and organizations across the automotive supply chain, the Peak Performance Initiative empowers people by giving them the tools they need to remove barriers to innovation and competition in the auto community.
