The International Energy Agency projects that global oil demand will increase by approximately 46 percent in the next 20 years. The challenge the oil industry faces is to service this growth in demand by increasing productivity in both upstream and downstream activities without losing sight of wider goals, including safety and overall corporate responsibility.

To help achieve those goals, Chevron started Project Seer. It aimed to enable transformational change across Chevron Upstream Europe (CUE). Seer searches applications, databases, and other data sources, exposing the appropriate data to the correct people. It loads the data into analytical tools and provides a single point of access in a user-friendly Web environment. This ensures timely, accurate data is delivered to the appropriate specialists to support better decisions leading to improved performance.

Read this case document to learn more about the Seer Project, which is built on Microsoft technology, and how it helped Chevron.
