The Microsoft Citizen Safety Architecture (CSA) is a suite of Microsoft and Partner software and services which improve multi-agency operational effectiveness through collaboration and information sharing. CSA enables governments to reduce costs and more effectively detect and prevent threats to citizen safety and to prepare for and respond to critical incidents.
Microsoft CSA is also a baseline architecture serving as a technology foundation for citizen safety agencies. The CSA commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technology and ease of use enable a quicker turnaround timeline to build and deploy solutions. Government agencies and programs can utilize Microsoft CSA in a variety of ways to meet their mission needs. Solution scenarios include but are not limited to the following:
Executive dashboard for tracking personnel, assets, and reports, as well as mission and program requirements.
Routine operations at borders, ports of entry, regional and local areas of responsibility, and mission support units.
Intelligence analysis and investigative support operations, including collaboration and dissemination.
Emergency and disaster response, crisis management, and event management scenarios.
Command centers, task force operations, and fusion centers.
