Microsoft hosts //BUILD Conference to showcase developer opportunities
Microsoft's //BUILD event took place Sept. 13-16 in Anaheim, CA to show developers how they can take advantage of Microsoft's platform. One common theme throughout the show was "Build Once, Deploy Anywhere" building in today's hybrid world of on-premise servers, cloud services and connected devices. Microsoft released a developer preview of the next version of its server operating system, Windows Server 8 which applies Windows Azure public cloud to provide a cloud-optimized operating system focused on delivery of applications, interoperability within today's diverse IT environments, high-performance virtualization and strong links to public clouds.
Nokia Developers: Learn Windows Phone even faster
Microsoft releases a comprehensive package to leverage Nokia development skills while learning to build applications for Windows Phone to make it easy for Nokia Symbian developers to learn Windows Phone. Microsoft and Nokia worked together to build a great package to help you get started learning Windows Phone development including:

Azure News for PHP and Java Developers
Microsoft publishes Windows Azure AppFabric Service Bus samples. The AppFabric Service Bus REST API can be used from almost all programming languages and operating systems. This makes it very easy for applications written on any platform to interoperate with each another through Windows Azure.
