Stock Award Program
At Microsoft, we believe all our employees should have the opportunity to receive Stock Awards. We want everyone to be an owner and share in the success of the company. As well as a once-off On-Hire Grant, Stock Awards will be granted annually based on performance. Stock Awards vest over a period of five years, or 20% per year, provided you are actively employed when the Stock Award vests. Upon vest, you receive Microsoft common shares that you own outright. These will automatically be deposited into a brokerage account. (Stock option gains are also typically treated as taxable income when exercised). Upon vesting, shares have voting rights and become eligible for dividend payments. You may choose to hold or sell them at any time.

Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP)
You may also choose to invest up to 15% of your basic salary directly in Microsoft shares. The company offers employees a 10% discount on shares purchased through this program, which opens for contributions on a quarterly basis.

Pension
Looking to your future, Microsoft Ireland offers a defined contribution pension plan that gives you the freedom to choose between contribution options. For each of the options Microsoft will match your contribution plus an additional 1% of salary. You also have the freedom to choose where and in what type of fund you want your pension invested.

Quinn Direct Health Manager Scheme, is a comprehensive healthcare insurance package that provides an integrated healthcare product combining health screening, primary care out-patient benefits and enhanced maternity cover with comprehensive hospital cover. You and your dependants have the option to join Quinn Direct Health Manager Group Scheme from your start date - there is no waiting period - and the cost of participation in this scheme is fully covered by Microsoft.

Healthcare Cash Plan
In addition to Quinn Direct Health Manager you have the option to purchase a healthcare cash plan from HSF Healthcare, which covers a broad range of out-patient expenses. You can purchase either the Individual Health Care Cash Plan or the Family Health Care Cash Plan.

Occupational Health and Alternative Therapies
We also offers all our employees Alternative Therapies programs, free of charge! Reflexology, Aromatherapy Massage / Reiki, Shiatsu and Chair Massage sessions are run at regular intervals and held in our occupational health rooms in all of our buildings.

Relocation

Leave Available to Microsoft Employees outside statutory leave
All Microsoft employees are entitled to 25 days holidays per annum.

Maternity Leave - Employees are eligible for fully paid maternity leave for a 26 week period and another 16 weeks unpaid leave.
Adoptive Leave - Employees are eligible for paid adoptive leave too.

Educational Assistance Program
All Microsoft permanent employees are eligible to participate in this program, in which up to 100% of course fees may be reimbursed to the employee on successful completion of that course. You pass, we pay!
