Feature Data Object (FDO) Data Access Technology is an API for manipulating, defining, and analyzing geospatial information regardless of where it is stored. FDO uses a provider-based model for supporting a variety of geospatial data sources. FDO is free, open-source software licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (GLPL). (See http://fdo.osgeo.org.)
FDO is the foundation for Autodesk Geospatial products and enterprise applications allowing native access to spatial data stored in relational databases, files and web-based services and is included with AutoCAD Map 3D, Autodesk MapGuide, and Autodesk Topobase.
