CDC Games
CDC Games, a pioneer of "free-to-play, pay for merchandise" online games in China,
is a leading publisher and operator of online games in China, based on the popularity
of our games as reflected by Baidu.com search rankings, and has more than 150 million
registered users. Our MMORPGs allow thousands of users to interact with one another
through their in-game characters in persistent-state virtual worlds. The interactive
and group-oriented nature of our online games creates a strong sense of community
among users, and the large size of our user base contributes to user loyalty and
helps to attract new users.
As a leading operator of "free-to-play" online games in China, most of our games
utilize this business model, which enables our users to play our games for free
and encourages them to purchase in-game virtual merchandise to enhance and personalize
the gaming experience.
CDC Games' most popular title to date, Yulgang, was launched in July 2005 and has
over 71 million registered users as of June 30, 2008. In June 2007, CDC Games launched
its second major title, Special Force and in July 2007 we acquired Guangzhou Optic
Communications Co. Ltd. and its game portfolio.
