participants and performance issues. Reliable Messaging is therefore a key feature needed for asynchronous communication using web services. In
May 2004 SAP and Microsoft announced to work on interoperability between SAP NetWeaver and Microsoft .NET based on advanced web services which will allow
amongst others Reliable Messaging and an adapter less integration between Microsoft BizTalk and SAP XI infrastructure. These features will be available
with the upcoming major releases of SAP NetWeaver and Microsoft .NET. However customers are requesting a solution based on existing technologies. Therefore,
