Windows SharePoint Services Connector for WebDAV (Install)
|
The Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) Connector for WebDAV is available for download. Many companies use a combination of SAP NetWeaver Portal and
Windows SharePoint Services. SAP NetWeaver Portal is the principal user interface to mySAP Business Suite applications. Windows SharePoint Services is an
ideal tool for the management of unstructured content particularly Microsoft Office documents. The companies that leverage both portals would like to
be able to access content from within either portal regardless of where the content is stored. The connector permits SAP NetWeaver Portal users access to content stored within document libraries in Windows SharePoint Services sites. Most importantly, this connectivity is transparent, reliable and
secure. Users are able to access documents, view and change document properties, move and copy documents and check documents in and out. The connector provides the many benefits of WSS sites to users of SAP NetWeaver Portal.

Microsoft Content Management Server Integration with SAP Enterprise Portal
|
Daily tasks involve different sources of information. The integration of different sources within a single context improves the efficiency of performing diverse steps to complete a task. This paper describes an integration solution providing an easy to use facility, which enables the user to navigate over Microsoft CMS content without leaving the SAP Enterprise Portal context. The Microsoft CMS content, the postings and the channels respectively, will be displayed in a tree-based structure, with the Look & Feel of SAP Enterprise Portal. Different roots, called entry points, can be specified in the standard Enterprise Portal Navigation, that is Top Level Navigation or Detailed Navigation. The entry points may differ based on their location in the navigation. |

Integration of Windows File Servers into the SAP KM platform using SSO and the WebDAV Repository Manager
|
Integrating external repositories into the SAP KM platform allows for a unified access to existing repositories in an enterprise. Integrating Windows File Servers can be done using the File system repository manager while Web Servers can be integrated using the Web repository manager or the WebDAV repository manager. The integration of repositories using the file system repository manager, the WebDAV repository manager and the web repository manager requires the maintenance of user credentials for each user if the access to documents or folders should be controlled by access lists. The new SAP Logon Ticket Kerberos Ticket bridging mechanism allows the SAP Enterprise portal to access web applications using Microsoft IIS with SSO using SAP Logon Tickets. IIS supports the publishing of Windows File Servers using WebDAV. As a result windows file systems that are published using IIS can be integrated into SAP KM using SSO based on SAP Logon Tickets thus eliminating the need of user mapping. |
