ファームウェアとブート環境

Microsoft Windows オペレーティング システムでプラグ アンド プレイと電源の管理をサポートするには、システムとそのファームウェアが、ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface Specification) に準拠している必要があります。

ACPI のファームウェア エントリは、x86 および x64 アーキテクチャのすべてのバージョンの Windows のサポートにおいて、同じです。Intel Itamium ベースのシステム上の 64 ビット版 Windows の場合、EFI ファームウェアが必要です。
