      This Lab Quick Start document provides the steps necessary to deploy Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 Enterprise Edition and configure remote access or federation in a lab environment in a single forest, single domain environment.

      Information provided in this document includes:
      • Deploying a Live Communications Server and enabling client access
      • Enabling federation and remote user access
      • Configuring a standalone certification authority
      • Configuring two IP Addresses on a single adapter card

      • This download works with the following Office applications:
        • Microsoft Office Word 2003
        • Microsoft Word 2002

      • To complete the lab the following pre-requisite hardware is also required:
        • Five computers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003
        • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 3a installed on one of the servers
        • Three clients to host test users
        • A certification authority
    • To install this download:
      1. Download the file by clicking the Download button (above) and saving the file to your hard disk.
      2. Double-click the LCS_2005_EE_Quick_Start.exe program file on your hard disk to start the Setup program.
      3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
