Transport from the Airport to the Hotel
You will be met upon arrival at Tocumen International Airport by event staff. The staff will escort you to the official transport (buses, vans) to Gamboa Rainforest Resort, located approximately 40 km from Panama City (about 1:15 hours form Airport). Event staff will also assist with this transport for your return to the airport.. |
Country Entry Requirements
Visitors must hold a valid passport. Those from countries which do not have diplomatic relations with Panama, must also obtain passport registration or consular inspection, granted by the Panamanian authority abroad or by Immigration upon your arrival.

Upon arrival to Panama, visitors will need to buy a visitors card, valid for 90 days at a cost of $5.00 (USD). This card can also be bought at Airlines counter |
Currency Exchange
The monetary unit is the American Dollar ($USD). We strong recommend you to exchange your local currency to dollars before you travel to Panama. It is not common to have currency exchange on local banks neither hotels. |

Local and international calls may be made from almost all public phones. Long-distance national calls are made via a carrier. To make a national call, you must dial: carrier number + area code + destination number. To make an international call, dial: carrier + 0 + country code + area code + destination number. Local and international call from hotel rooms are always expensive. |

Safety
In the cities:
Panama City, have high safety standards unless you venture into the outlying areas of the city. Do not leave valuables unattended.
In the hotels
Your valuable objects and travel documents should be left in safety deposit boxes, which the hotels offer for this purpose. To identify yourself to the local authorities (if need for any reason), have your migration entry document on hand and a photo ID such as a driver’s license. In the event of theft, it must be immediately reported to the Panamanian police and if foreign documents are involved, notify your nearest consulate.
