Communication is about
connecting people and information. Effective
technology can aid this process when
skillfully used and maximized to its full
potential. This is critical in educational
environments, where teaching and learning
depend upon communication and collaboration,
so technology must be utilized in the best
way possible.
Even inspired educators can use a helping
hand when it comes to reducing
administrative time and implementing
technology into their classrooms. Often,
they look to their immediate peers and
colleagues to help them meet the practical
challenges of using high-tech tools and
methods. So enabling an environment and
infrastructure that promote easy and
transparent communication is essential. |
 |
 |
In the longer term, there are far-reaching
implications for organizations that can
understand and safely use the power of
social networks and networked collective
intelligence for competitive advantage and
the learning for 21st Century students.
Communication issues to be considered in
creating a communication on the following
topics:
 |
• |
 |
Internet
access: what access do you have:
cable, satellite? What are the bandwidth
requirements to enable the collaboration
required? |
 |
| |
• |
|
What telephony
integration can be utilized? How can
IP telephony benefits be leveraged? |
 |
| |
• |
|
How will a wireless
implementation be integrated on campus? |
 |
| |
• |
|
What range of
safety
controls is required? |
 |
| |
• |
|
What e-Learning
requirements are required for distance
and remote learning? |
 |
| |
• |
|
What are the
requirements for off-campus and
home access? |
 |
| |
• |
|
What devices will be
used for wireless communication? |
 |
| |
• |
|
How can the institution
leverage regional of city WiMax
infrastructures? |

knowledge about culture and
tradition, biology that
focuses on the environment
and water preservation,
arithmetic, geometry and
statistics. It includes the
local characteristics of the
area and the natural
reserves in its content.
Microsoft will provide
software and e-learning
training. EducaRed will
design the project’s website
and Telefónica will provide
the high-speed Internet
access for these
communities. |
