Using the DNS for Commerce - In this new digital age, organizations need tools to connect with customers, suppliers and employees. This session will include a number of secure commerce solutions that organizations have deployed to strengthen their supply chains and improve customer connections.

 

"The Power of Information: Breaking Frontiers"

    By the end of 1995, Soriana found they were having a series of problems managing the traditional Point of Sales systems: most of them were proprietary technology completely attached to the hardware design and as a result the software was showing the deficiencies of the hardware limitations.     Today organizations need to guarantee their investments yield by maintaining the quality of their products and services that provide customer satisfaction. This is why listening to customer needs is one of Conavi's strategies to succeed and why Conavi decided to automate and centralize the management of all customer complaints, claims and suggestions. They developed the Corporate Project "Listening to the Customer", using different Microsoft tools like Outlook's capacity to design personalized distribution forms.

"Making your DNS more sensitive"

    'Making your DNS more sensitive' is an overview of the powerful of the integration between the Management and the S&C (Supervision and Control) systems. Product Information can be completely integrated with Field Measurements, Automatic Production Sensing, Delays and Quality Control Parameters with high performance and reliability. The Integrated Information analysis tools have to include the Process Know How to obtain high level results for the decision-makers. The 'Process and Product Integrated Control' system installed at SIDERAR (TECHINT group) is based on an Intranet that includes the physical and technological product tracking integrated. This system gets the real-time data using OPC (OLE for Process Control) standard technology to communicate with the S&C systems of all the production lines at the plant. The 'PPIC' system offers the users std. statistical Information, Defects correlation, SPC (Statistical Process Control) parameters, SPC alarms for each Production Stage and SQC (Statistical Quality Control) parameters.
