Microsoft started its operations in Latin America and the Caribbean in 1986; since then, it has gained presence in 46 countries. From the outset, we have had a strong commitment to the creation of social and economic opportunities across the entire region, and it is here that our partners prove to be central to our business.

Currently, the Microsoft ecosystem of services and distribution comprises 66,000 partners who employ over 1.1 million IT professionals region-wide; in fact, over 46% of the IT employees come from the Microsoft ecosystem.

In Latin America and the Caribbean, for every dollar sold by Microsoft, our partners generate US$12. - This community enables us to realize projects like Partners in Learning, an initiative that since its launch in 2003 has provided technology training and has touched the lives of nearly 2 million teachers and 70 million students in 19 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, with an investment topping $30 million.

Microsoft’s corporate mission is to enable people and businesses throughout the world to realize their full potential.

Our ability to communicate this mission depends on the creativity and intellect of the people who share these values:

We act with integrity and honesty.
We value openness and mutual respect.
We are committed to our customers and partners, and have a passion for technology.
We take on new challenges and pride ourselves on seeing them through.
We are self-critical, inquisitive and committed to excellence and personal progress.
We hold ourselves accountable to our clients, shareholders, partners, and employees by honoring our commitments, providing results, and striving for the highest quality.
