| Q. | How do I replace a broken or missing CD-ROM? | ||||||||||||||||||
| A. | If your CD-ROM is clearly defective (cracked, badly warped, or contains a deep scratch) or is missing, you can exchange it for a replacement CD-ROM.
Important: Replacing the CD-ROM will not solve any issues with the files or other contents on the CD. Therefore, replacement should be considered only if the setup program fails and if no book and CD corrections have been posted. Individual file patches for companion CD files and content are posted on the Internet when appropriate. For this role, you should have solid programming or IT experience and a passion for Microsoft technology. You do not need to be an editor, but you should have an eye for detail and be able to spot errors in technical content. You should possess the technical knowledge to identify areas in manuscripts that need more or less coverage and be able to evaluate appropriateness of content based on a specific target audience.
