Q.How do I exchange a damaged book?
A.

If your Microsoft Press book has missing, illegible, or improperly sequenced pages, you can exchange it by following this procedure:

1.

If you have not opened any CD-ROM or disk pack that came with the book, please exchange the book for a new copy at the store where you made the original purchase.

2.

If you have opened the CD-ROM or disk pack, please call 800-MSPRESS ([800] 677-7377) in the United States. Outside of the United States, please contact your local Microsoft Press distributor.

Q.How do I replace a broken or missing CD-ROM?
A.

If your CD-ROM is clearly defective (cracked, badly warped, or contains a deep scratch) or is missing, you can exchange it for a replacement CD-ROM.

Return the product to the location where you purchased it or contact the local Microsoft Press distributor for an exchange or replacement.

Important: Replacing the CD-ROM will not solve any issues with the files or other contents on the CD. Therefore, replacement should be considered only if the setup program fails and if no book and CD corrections have been posted.

Individual file patches for companion CD files and content are posted on the Internet when appropriate.

Q. How do I return a purchase that I ordered directly from Microsoft Press?

If you made a purchase directly from Microsoft Press through fax, telephone, mail, or online, and for any reason are not satisfied with it, you may return it to us for a full refund within 30 days of receipt of shipment. Please see the Microsoft Press Terms and Conditions for information on any applicable refund policy. Customers are responsible for shipping charges from returned books and software. Q.How do I become a technical reviewer for Microsoft Press?
A.

Microsoft Press is looking for freelance technical reviewers who can help us ensure that our books are accurate.

For this role, you should have solid programming or IT experience and a passion for Microsoft technology. You do not need to be an editor, but you should have an eye for detail and be able to spot errors in technical content. You should possess the technical knowledge to identify areas in manuscripts that need more or less coverage and be able to evaluate appropriateness of content based on a specific target audience.
