The Academic Instructor Resource Center is designed to support users of Microsoft Learning educational titles with online access to instructional materials and information updates. These resources are intended to enhance the delivery of your information technology curriculum and the use of Microsoft Learning publications in the classroom. The Academic Instructor Resource Center is intended for adopters of the Microsoft Official Academic Course, Academic Learning Series, or Step by Step Courseware series of courses. Supplements include course setup suggestions, lecture outlines, teaching tips, Microsoft PowerPoint slides, test banks, detailed lab setup instructions, and more.

Download valuable tools and resources, such as the ALS Diploma, a new computerized testing and classroom management tool that you can use with ALS titles. Also, download course cartridges that you can use to create class Web sites that are running on BlackBoard. Additionally, download software applications such as Microsoft Word Viewer, Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, and Microsoft Windows Media Player. How to access the Instructor Resource Center

This site is intended for adopters of the Microsoft Learning academic courses. It requires that you gain access by using your Windows Live ID (formerly Passport Network account).

Follow these steps to access the site:

1.

Visit Microsoft Press Connections. (Note This site requires that you type https:// at the beginning of the address.)

2.

Click the Passport Network Sign In icon.

3.

Sign in to the Microsoft Passport Network with your Windows Live ID that you want to use to access this site. If you already signed in to the Passport Network, you do not have to sign in again. If you do not have a Windows Live ID, a link is provided so that you can establish one.

4.

The first time that you access the site, you will need to fill in a form with your name, your e-mail address at the school where you teach, and the name of the school where you teach. If you currently use textbooks from a Microsoft Official Academic Course, the Academic Learning Series, or Step by Step Courseware series of courses, indicate the series or titles in the space provided.

Important To request access to the Instructor Resource Center site, in the Type of Relationship drop-down list, select Academic.

5.

Click Request Access.

As soon as you are approved, you will receive a message at the e-mail address that you have indicated on the form. After that, you can sign in with your Windows Live ID to access the site.
