  • Collect and analyze troubleshooting data

    • Monitor using Profiler; collect performance data by using System Monitor; collect trace data by using SQL Server Profiler; identify transactional replication problems; identify and troubleshoot data access problems; gather performance metrics; identify potential problems before they cause service interruptions; identify performance problems;, use XEvents and DMVs; create alerts on critical server condition; monitor data and server access by creating audit and other controls; identify IO vs. memory vs. CPU bottlenecks; use the Data Collector tool

  • Audit SQL Server instances

    70-462 Training Kit : Cannot connect from SQL-A to SQL-Core

    Currently, I have set up lab environment on my lap top (like example in 70-462 Training Kit)

    After 1st exercise, which is to test connectivity between machine in domain, I cannot connect from SQL-A to SQL-Core It show error

    Message :

    Cannot connect to SQL-CORE A network related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configure to allow remote connections (provider: Named pipes Provider. Error 40 – Could not open a connection to SQL Server (.net SQLClient Data provider)

    In the set up phase, I can success fully join SQL-A,SQL-B,SQL-C,SQL-D and SQL-Core to DC. Anyone has experience in this, please help.
