System Requirements
You'll need the following hardware and software to build and run the code samples for this book:
Windows PC with 3D graphics acceleration if you want to run your XNA games on your PC.
Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 C# Express Edition or Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Standard Edition or Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition or Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Team Suite.
Microsoft XNA Game Studio 3.0
To test your games on a console, you will need an Xbox 360 fitted with a hard disk. Your Xbox 360 must be connected to Xbox Live and you will need to join the XNA Creators Club.
If you have a Zune media player, you can create and run XNA games on that as well. Any of the Zune devices, from the original 30Gb device to the latest 4Gb devices can be used.
Installing The Code Samples
After you download the code samples file to your computer, run the installer and follow the instructions that appear.
Uninstalling The Code Samples
To remove the code samples from your computer, make the appropriate selection from Add Or Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
