About Bernie O'Brien and Catherine SeaverCatherine Seaver is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Manchester Community College in Manchester, CT. She teaches programming, database design and administration, and networking fundamentals and management. Catherine has a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from Miami University and a M.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, and is currently completing a M.S. in Educational Technology at Eastern Connecticut State University. Catherine currently holds the MCSD and Network+ certifications and in the past has held the MCT, CNE, and CNI certifications.
Bernie O’Brien is an Associate Professor of Computer Information Management at Saddleback Community College in Mission Viejo, CA. He currently teaches Beginning and Advanced classes in Visual Basic .NET and C# .NET. He also teaches Visual Basic for Applications using MS Access and MS Excel. Besides his extensive experience in the field of computer science, Bernie is an Electrical Engineer, graduating from Ardleigh Green College in Essex, England. In addition to his many teaching assignments, Bernie also works full-time for Southern California Edison as a Computer Specialist where he is currently developing business software using PowerBuilder and Visual Basic .NET.
