This half-day instructor-led clinic provides developers with an introduction to the BizTalk Server 2006 development environment, as well as the BizTalk messaging and orchestrations services. This clinic will highlight features and functionality through demonstrations of common developer tasks.

This session provides an introduction to BizTalk Server 2006 and the BizTalk development environment. It also explains how to create and use schemas, maps, pipelines, and ports; as well as how to deploy an application.

This session provides an overview on how BizTalk create and BizTalk Server orchestrations and how they are used in implementing business process automation. It also provides an overview of how Business Activity Manager can be used to gain visibility into BizTalk processes.

  • 1-2 years developing enterprise-level applications
  • Background in Microsoft .NET concepts and technology
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003
  • Working knowledge of XML
  • No prior BizTalk experience is necessary
