  • Explain Server Manager Wizards and benefits that they provide
  • Explain both local and remote addition to Server Manager and what methods exist in Windows Server 2008 for managing servers
  • Identify improvements that have been made to printer management
Module 2: Server Core Installation
After completing this module, students will be able to:
  • Explain Server Core installation and changes to your environment to use it
  • Identify server roles that are available in a Server Core installation
  • Identify when to use Server Core installation and benefits of implementing Server Core
  • Identify when you need to change your code to work with a Server Core installation
Module 3: Windows PowerShell
After completing this module, students will be able to:

  • Explain PowerShell cmdlets and how to use them
  • Explain how to start and navigate the Windows PowerShell environment
  • Identify how to customize Windows PowerShell
Module 4: Windows Remote Management
After completing this module, students will be able to:

  • Identify key technical information in order to effectively use Windows Remote Management
