Using Learning Tools

Along with world-class training and certifications, Microsoft Learning offers the tools you need to plan and organize your learning. Find out how Learning Plans, Learning Manager, My Learning, and the Learning Catalog can help you stay on track with certification—and get started using the tools today!

A Learning Plan is a collection of training resources that are organized into an interactive path that focuses on your specific learning needs. Created by Microsoft experts, Learning Plans help you save time by organizing the training content that is most relevant to your goals into a self-guided path. Resources include online courses, instructor-led classes, books, and articles.

Learning Plans are part of Learning Manager—a personal workspace on Microsoft.com that helps you find, access, and manage learning resources, such as e-learning, Microsoft Press books, exams, and certifications.

If you appreciate having a dedicated space for planning and managing your goals, Learning Manager is for you. This tool consists of two main areas: Learning Catalog and My Learning.

  • Learning Catalog is a tool that enables you to browse a full listing of learning options by Learning Plan, Microsoft product, or learning resource.

  • My Learning is a personal space that allows you to activate, open, and save learning resources and track your progress toward completion of your goals. You can add learning options, such as classroom training, e-learning, Microsoft Press books, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) exams, and Learning Plans to My Learning directly from the Learning Catalog, the Microsoft Learning Web site, or the Microsoft E-Learning Web site by using the Add to My Learning button (below).
