Learning Manager provides a single space for planning and managing your learning and career goals over time. It consists of two main areas: Learning Catalog and My Learning.
Learning Catalog is a tool that enables you to browse a full listing of learning options by Learning Plan, Microsoft product, or learning resource.
My Learning is a personal space that allows you to activate, open, and save learning resources and track your progress toward completion of your goals. You can add learning options, such as classroom training, e-learning, Microsoft Press books, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) exams, and Learning Plans to My Learning directly from the Learning Catalog, the Microsoft Learning Web site, or the Microsoft E-Learning Web site by using the Save to My Learning button (example below).
Accessing Learning Manager
You can access Learning Manager from many pages on the Microsoft Learning Web site (including Microsoft Certification and Microsoft E-Learning pages), the MSDN Developer Centers, and the TechNet TechCenters. To access Learning Manager directly, type the following URL into your browser: http://learning.microsoft.com/manager, or click the following link.
You can use Learning Manager without signing in. However, to activate or purchase Official Microsoft E-Learning resources from Microsoft, you must sign in with your Windows Live ID.
Note If you have a Hotmail account, MSN e-mail account, or Microsoft Passport, you have a Windows Live ID. You can sign in by using your existing e-mail address and password. If you do not have one, it is easy to sign up for a Windows Live ID.
If you sign in with your Windows Live ID and use Learning Manager, items that are stored in your My Learning space will be saved as part your Web site profile. This makes it easy for you to access these items later, from any computer.
If you do not sign in with your Windows Live ID, items that you previously added to your My Learning space continue to be stored on your computer, as long as you have not prevented acceptance or blocked cookies in your browser. Simply use the same computer and return to Learning Manager to access the products the next time that you need them.
Note You must sign in with your Windows Live ID credentials (e-mail address and password) to obtain access to any e-learning products that you have purchased or activated.
For help signing in on the Microsoft E-Learning Web site, contact the Microsoft E-Learning customer service and support center.
