Delbert Murphy began programming computers at the Highway Safety Research Institute at the University of Michigan in 1969, and has been involved in computing ever since. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame and in addition to being a Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect, he is also a Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Technologies. Delbert has been a developer, designer, and architect for software that runs mainframe security systems, large-scale e-commerce sites, personal computers, handheld devices, automobiles, toll booths, medical instruments, and nuclear power plants.
