First-time access to the Microsoft Certification member site

The member site now requires your Windows Live ID (formerly Passport Network account) as its logon authentication technology.

Before you can use the Passport Network to enter the site, you must first associate your Passport Network identification with your Microsoft Certification credentials (your MCP ID or Microsoft Certification ID). This process is called migration.

After you have migrated, you can log on to the site using your Windows Live ID and a temporary access code you should receive in an e-mail message from Microsoft after you pass your first certification exam.

Temporary access code troubleshooting

If you have misplaced your temporary access code or it has expired, you may request a new code online from the first-time logon page, which you will reach after trying to sign in to the member site. This service is only for first-time visitors to the Microsoft Certification member site.

If you requested a new code and did not receive it within 48 hours, we may not have your correct e-mail address on file. If you have difficulty accessing the site with your Windows Live ID, or if you need to update your e-mail address, please contact your Regional Service Center.
