Introduction

This half-day instructor-led clinic introduces students to information on Microsoft Service Pack 1. What is it? Why would I deploy it? How do I get it and how do I deploy it? The session continues with how to configure and manage the different components of Service Pack 1.

Audience

This clinic is intended for current MCSA or MCSE or individuals with equivalent experience working on Windows Server 2003, with an emphasis on Security, who need to get up to speed on the security enhancements in SP1. Content level is 200.

After completing this clinic, students will be able to:

Describe how to plan and install Service Pack 1.

Describe how to install and configure the Windows Firewall.

Describe how to perform Post Set-up Security Updates (PSSU).

Describe how to use Security Configuration Wizard.

Before attending this clinic, students must have general knowledge and competence in network protection strategies to help increase security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment.
