Microsoft Agreement Updates

Microsoft has improved the Enterprise, Select License, and Open License agreements to help simplify the licensing process. A simplified process enables you to spend less time on administrative tasks and more time growing your business.

Changes to the license agreements include:

Fewer pages. Depending on the program, your agreement will be shorter. You can spend less time on the agreement process and more time exploring related business opportunities.

A new and more efficient signature form. This also helps reduce the amount of time you spend on each agreement.

Updates to language and content. Volume Licensing agreements have been updated for simplicity and consistency.

Pricing Updates

In October, the number of price points and SKUs for each Volume Licensing program will be reduced. Individual language SKUs that have the same pricing will be replaced by one term: Single Language. For example, SQL Server English will become SQL Server Single Language. Consolidating the SKUs into a single SKU will make it easier for you to find the right price point.
