Microsoft Open Affiliate Participation

The Microsoft Open License, Open Value, and Open Value Subscription programs (the Open Programs) allow customers to share price levels with their legal affiliates throughout a geographic territory. The term affiliate is defined in the relevant Open Program agreement.

The following table shows the defined territories and countries for affiliate participation under the Open Programs.

Note: This table does not apply to Open Value or Open Value Subscription customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa where affiliate territory is the country in which the customer is located, unless the customer is located in the in the European Union (EU) or European Free Trade Association (EFTA), in which case the affiliate territory is the entire EU/EFTA region. In addition, the table does not apply to the Government Open Programs worldwide where affiliate territory/defined region is the country in which the customer is located.

Open License and Open Value Territory Listings

North America

United States, Canada

Latin America

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela are each defined as a region/territory.

Central America and the Caribbean are each a region/territory.

Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)

Countries in the European Union and European Free Trade Association (EU/EFTA): Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom

The remaining EMEA region includes:

  • Non-EU Eastern European countries and regions: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia

  • Middle Eastern and African countries and regions: Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Israel, Kenya, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, Zimbabwe, the Mediterranean, other Africa, other Middle East

Note: Affiliates using an originating customer's authorization number must (i) order only from the product pool(s) covered by such authorization number; (ii) place all orders through resellers in their own countries (or for affiliates located in an EU- or EFTA-member country, through resellers located in an EU- or EFTA-member country); and (iii) place all orders prior to the expiration of such authorization number.
